Reporting principles of Corporate report 2014 (Corporate report 2014 , page 2)
After Deutsche Börse Group successfully took its first step towards integrated reporting two years ago, this year’s report once again underlines its public service mission.

The content of the report and indicators of the topics relating to corporate responsibility are essentially in accordance with the third generation (3.1) guidelines on sustainability reporting of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI). Their evaluation was made with regard to the interests of important stakeholders – and the indicators are based on the materiality analysis. In 2014 the dialogue with internal and external stakeholders was further expanded so as to be able to take the next step towards fully integrating our sustainability performance reporting with our capital market communications. The insights gained are also helping to raise the sustainability Profile throughout the organisation and to prepare for the new GRI G4.0 reporting standard. Since not all GRI indicators are applicable to the services of a stock exchange, further relevant key figures and information have been added.

Verification of key figures
All qualitative claims as well as quantitative indicators on Corporate Responsibility in the annual Corporate Report 2014 were subject to a review by KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft, an independent external auditor, to obtain limited assurance regarding the report. The consolidated financial statements of Deutsche Börse Group as at 31 December 2014 were audited by KPMG AG Wirtschaftsprüfungsgesellschaft.

Assessment of the application level of the GRI guidelines
Companies that base their sustainability reports on the GRI guidelines can define the level to which they have applied GRI guidelines. Deutsche Börse Group has classified its report in this way and had this self-assessment verified by the GRI. It has attained level A+.
